Britney Spears’ sons have been avoiding their mother for months, according to a claim made by their father Kevin Federline.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, he shared that his and the Toxic singer’s sons Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15 decided not to go to their mother’s wedding to Sam Asghari and in fact have not seen her in months.
"The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now," he said. "It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding."
He added that the reason for his kids’ avoidance was because of the allegations that the singer levied against him back in April where she accused him of refusing to meet her when she was pregnant with one of his children.
As per Britney Spear's latest news, Federline had threatened to sue her, who has since deleted the statement.
"This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else," the backup dancer said of the situation as well as the media circus surrounding the end of her conservatorship.
"It’s been tough. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life."
"There were a lot of things going on that I didn’t feel comfortable with," he told the outlet cryptically.
Speaking over the singer’s tendencies to pose her nude body online, Federline shared that the boys had a difficult time understanding it.
"I try to explain to them, 'Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.' But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school."
