Dragon Ball Super changes how Goku always looks during fights
Dragon Ball Super brought something fans have always wished for. Goku had never worn the distinctive Saiyan combat armor until a recent episode of Dragon Ball Super.
In the heat of an epic battle, no sight struck opponents with more dread than the blue, white, and gold of Saiyan battle gear.
Goku is wearing the Saiyan battle armor for the first time in the manga despite having Saiyan ancestry and a penchant for fighting. Of course, his everyday martial arts gi (uniform) serves as his official "battle attire."
In Dragon Ball Super chapter 84, he only spends a brief period of time donning the traditional Saiyan battle gear before asking Monaito to return to his regular attire very immediately. Then, in a hurry, he and Vegeta put on their former attire to face Gas.
