Fashion world mourns death of renowned designer Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh, fashion's highest profile Black designer, the acclaimed menswear designer for Louis Vuitton and founder and CEO of Off-White, died on Sunday of cancer, Vuitton's owner LVMH said.

His sudden death was announced in a post from his verified Instagram account. He died after a private battle with cancer. He was 41.

Fashion industry’s tycoons and fans reacted with shock and sorrow to the announcement. Following are reactions to his death.

Abloh is survived by wife Shannon Abloh, his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh and his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh.
