Director of ‘Squid Game’ revealed why player 456 had red hair in season finale
Director and writer of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk sat down for an interview with Zapzee and disclosed why lead character Seong Gi-hun aka player 456 dyed his hair red.
The screenwriter stated, “I imagined being him and thought to myself, ‘What is the colour that you would never choose to dye your hair?’"
He added, "Then I came to the conclusion that Gi-hun would never dye his hair red. It would be the craziest thing for him to do.”
Moreover, the 50-year-old said that the red hair showed Gi-hun’s anger towards the organizers of the game.
