Tobiaz Menzies dedicates his Emmy win to late Michael K. Williams

Tobias Menzies is dedicating his prestigious Emmy award to late Michael K. Williams.

The Crown actor won the award for the outstanding supporting actor at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards for his role as Prince Philip.

The 47-year-old, who could not be present at the ceremony on Sunday, turned to his Twitter the next day and honored Michael K.Williams in his acceptance note, who was also nominated in the category for his role in Lovecraft Country.

"His performance as Omar in The Wire is one of the great screen performances, he will be deeply missed. RIP," he concluded his tweet.

Williams died on Sept. 6 in his Brooklyn penthouse apartment.
