Nicki Minaj misses out on Met Gala 2021
Singer Nicki Minaj revealed that she will not be a part of the MET Gala event this year due to vaccination requirements.
Nicki does not wish to vaccinate herself until she has done ‘enough research’ to satisfy her misgivings for the vaccine.
However, the event required strict vaccination so as to ensure the safety of the participants.
Taking to twitter, Minaj wrote, "if I get vaccinated it won't [be] for the Met. It'll be once I feel I've done enough research. I'm working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one."
The performer tweeted in response to a tweet and said, "Love u babe. I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID? Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week? A baby who is only used to his mama?"
For those unversed, Nicki Minaj was supposed to perform at the MTV VMAs on September 12 but backed out days before the event
