Charli D’Amelio and Dixie D’Amelio opened up about how TikTok has become a competition
During Dixie’s Early Late Night Show, Charli D’Amelio and Dixie discussed how fellow TikTokers want to use them for their own benefit and how they are not looking for friendship.
Charli stated, “It doesn’t feel like it used to, where there was collaborations and fun, and everyone was friends. Now it’s like… everyone’s trying to beat each other. That doesn’t make sense to me, and it’s not what I started TikTok [for].”
She added that the influencers “wanna collab when it’s convenient for them.”
Dixie agreed with her sister and added, “I think the fact that you’re the biggest on the app… and when they realize you wanted a real friendship—and not just collab—and they couldn’t use you, that’s when they stopped [hanging out with you].”
Both the sisters said they find it difficult to trust people on TikTok now.
