Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ first look photos show Leonardo DiCaprio’s dramatic look
Apple Original Films has unveiled the exclusive first official photo from Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Western period epic, Killers of the Flower Moon.
The first look photo features Oscar-wining actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone as Ernest and Mollie Burkhart.
Killer of the Flower Moon is based on David Grann’s non-fiction book of the same title and tracks the investigation of serial murders that plagued the Osage Nation during the 1920s after valuable oil was discovered on their land.
The film stars DiCaprio, Gladstone and Robert De Niro as central characters. The Shutter Island actor tweeted the first images from the film that reveal his intense dramatic look as he is sitting on the dinner table with Gladstone.
Scorsese, known for building authentic sets to reflect the timeline of the film as opposed to shooting against a blue screen. As IndieWire outlet reported, he kicked off filming the Western drama in April in Oklahoma.
Killers of the Flower Moon does not have an official release date yet. Starring opposite DiCaprio, Gladstone, and DeNiro is a supporting cast that includes Jesse Plemons, Scott Shepherd, Pat Healy, Tantoo Cardinal, Michael Abbott Jr., Gary Basaraba, and Grammy Award-winning musicians Jason Isbell and Sturghill Simpson, among others.
