Rihanna hits the streets in New York City to protest anti-Asian hate

Rihanna voices against 'Stop Asian Hate' in New York City protest

The American pop icon Rihanna joined protestors in New York City and showed her support to the Asian-American community against racial hate. The music sensation walked the NYC streets with a bright green and pink placard that read 'Stop Asian Hate'.

She protested against hate crimes in the country with her assistant, Tina Truong, who shared the details about the protest on her Instagram account.

To avoid any disturbance at the protests and marches, the 33-year-old singer almost hid her identity as she joined Asian American Pacific Islander communities. She wore a white jersey, leather pants and a leather jacket. Sporting her iconic braids, she covered her face with a mask, wore sunglasses and a baseball cap.

Truong shared pictures in which, the Diamonds singer could be seen making her own protest signs. The protest was organized in the wake of a mass shooting, which left six Asian women dead at three Georgia massage parlors last month.
