Paris Hilton shared her own struggles of when she was treated poorly by the media

Paris Hilton opened up about the times when she felt the media didn’t respect her and fueled her anxiety.

On Monday, on her Podcast show This is Paris, the actress talked about her reaction after watching Britney Spears documentary, and reflected how the unfairness of the media has a vast effect on the people it targets. Paris, in retrospect, shared her own struggles.

The 40-year-old star recalled the times when David Letterman kept reaching out to her to invite to his talkshow. She publicly made known on her podcast that she kept turning down his invitations because she simply wanted to serve her time in jail and "didn't want to talk about it.”

"That was off limits and he would not discuss it and we would only be there to promote the perfume and my other business ventures," she revealed. "I felt like it was a safe place because I'd been going on Letterman for so many years."

Paris did not blow up on him because she doesn’t consider herself to be an angry person, but she recalled being upset and feeling like the host deliberately tried to humiliate her.

"There was not supposed to be one question, and then he just kept pushing me and pushing me and I was just getting so uncomfortable, and I was so upset," she went on. "It was like he was just purposely trying to humiliate me." She also told Letterman she is never going to come back to the show under any condition as he had “crossed the line.”
