'She tried to give it a chance,' says a source
Kim Kardashian's divorce from Kanye West has come after a lot of 'waiting'.
A source exclusively told E! News that Kim came to this conclusion after much consideration. Revealing that although the situation is devastating for Kim K, she is trying to brave through it.
"Kim is doing OK," the source says. "She's mostly worried about her privacy and kids. She's a mama bear and protective of her kids."
Talking more about what led Kim to finally move ahead with the divorce, the source disclosed that the mother of four was tired of waiting for things to get better.
"Kim was just tired of waiting. She tried to give it a chance. She wanted to do this last year. She gave it plenty of time but it's just time to move on."
However, the 40-year-old is a 'mamma bear' who is protective of her kids.
"Kim expressed to [the kids] that she loves their Dad but they need to be apart. They don't fully understand what's going on and are already used to the situation."
