'Game of Thrones' prequel based on ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg Stories’ in works

HBO plans on to make another 'Game of Thrones' prequel based on ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg Stories’

Good news for the fans as the most epic show of television, Game of Thrones will be getting another prequel. HBO has recently started working on the new GOT prequel series,Variety reported.

The People magazine also reported that the latest prequel will be based on one of the three novels author George R. R. Martin published, that would follow the Tales of Dunk and Egg. The story that will the viewers the story of 90 years before the events of Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series that turned out as an inspiration for HBO's epic GOT. The upcoming prequel will narrate the story of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and Aegon V Targaryen (Egg).

The reports from the Entertainment Weekly said that HBO has been conducting pitch meetings for more possible GOT spinoffs. However, HBO did not immediately respond to comments for confirmations.

Previously announced prequel, the House of the Dragon, will reportedly begin production this year. British actor Paddy Considine was cast in October 2020 in the role of King Viserys Targaryen.
